General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Normal pressure hydrocephalus(NPH) is a clinical condition caused by the build-up of cerebrospinal fluid. The symptoms of this condition worsen with time if not treated.Treatment for NPH involves surgical placement of a shunt in the brain to drain excess CSF into the abdomen where it can be absorbed as part of the normal circulatory process. This allows the brain ventricles to return to their normal size. While the success of treatment with shunts varies from person to person, some people recover almost completely after treatment and have a good quality of life.
I will suggest you see a Neurologist or a Neurosurgeon to discuss best options.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
