What Causes Nightmares While Trying To Fall Asleep?
My problem is: when i fall asleep, after 2-5 minutes i wake up like i just had a nightmare, scared and feeling like something is in my room(like a ghost) but no hallucinations and i can move freely. My biggest problem is that if i try to fall asleep after that i get terrifying chills down my spine non stop for +- 30seconds, and if i don t change my position then my ears start pulsing. The only way to stop this is to get up and walk a little or watch videos or something on my phone. It s very annoying and i would really like an explanation for this if there s any at all.
Since, when have you been suffering from this? Are you sure immediately after sleeping you are getting this episodes? What about day time sleep? How old are you?
Probably, you are suffering from night terrors or narcolepsy or anxiety neurosis. Avoid watching horror movie and please consult your sleep therapist/psychiatrist after complete examination she/he will treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
