My mother-in-law, 97 has developed night sweats and swollen ankles. She takes medication for hypertension and sterods for non specific arthritis. She has experienced the swelling before related to her BP medication at the time. Her bld workis negative as well as urinanalysis. She has never been diagnosed with CHF, diabetes, or cancer. Hi,
The swollen ankles is common in hypertensive individuals and need not be due to BP medication. Limb elevation should be adequate to reduce it in lying position.
Night sweats could be due to medications. Do check into side effect of any drug which has been added recently.
As there are no other symptoms, look into medication aspect.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
