Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Neck Pain And Tingling Sensation In The Left Arm?
I have left side neck pain, tingling feeling through my left arm, a slight burn feeling in my chest and my skin is cold to the touch. I was recently bitten on my right knee by something and puss is coming from the bite area. It has a red ring the size of a nickel. I do have mitro valve prolapse but do not know if this is all connected
The pain on the left side of the neck and tingling sensation of the left arm is most probably due to cervical spondilosis, and compression of the nerves to the left arm. This can be managed usually with physiotherapy to the neck, and possibly wearing a cervical collar for a few weeks. The right knee infection and mitral valve prolapse is not connected to the cervical spondilosis and left arm nerve compression. Please do consult an Orthopedic surgeon for an MRI of the neck spine and appropriate management of this problem. You may also show the doctor the right knee infection and he can advise treatment for resolving the infection.
