What Causes Nausea, fever And Headaches After Smoking Meth?

My friend smoked meth last night, and got sick in the middle of the night. He is still sick the next evening. He gets nauseeous, and has chills, fever, and sweating. He also has a headache since last night. He doesn t want lights on because his eyes hurt. He seems to be aching all over, and its hard for him to walk. Did he smoke meth that was poisoned? Tonight, I tried smoking the same meth that the person had given him. After about an hour, I got hot, nauseous, chilled, etc within a 5 minute timeframe. Now I have had nauseous feelings a few times, but I seem to be doing ok. I have not actually thrown up, whereas he has been getting very sick, and will sit in the bathroom without lights on for as long as a half hour at a time. The lights hurt his eyes and make his headache worse. Suggestions?

Well, cannot say about the poison. There's poison and then there's poison. The manufacture of methamphetamine usually produces a lot of toxic side chemicals that are not predictable. The smoking and sickness itself is a risk for infection of the respiratory tract and pneumonia or sinus infection or tooth decay are all quite common. These are quickly treated with cheap antibiotics.

And.... migraine can be produced by stimulants due to effects on the vessels in the brain. This is as dangerous as it sounds and strongly implies someone is at elevated risk to have a stroke form it.
