What Causes Nausea With Blood Vomiting And Mild Diarrhea?

Experiencing nausea (twice) approx. one hour after eating (light) meals, slight diarrhea and a little blood in vomit. Have had flu shot, generally in good health for age other than AFIB and Defibrillator implant. Woke up with a bad headache which two Aleve solved. Any ideas, thank you.

Hi,
Blood in your vomit may be caused by esophageal tearing from repeated vomiting, or from more serious causes like esophageal varices. Diarrhea and blood loss can lower your blood pressure, giving you nausea and headache.
I would recommend you to see your GI doctor as soon as possible and to have a endoscopy done. It will clarify the cause of your blood in vomit, and the doctor will prescribe you a treatment with PPi for 4-8 weeks.
Meanwhile, I would recommend you to stop smoking or drinking, at least until you see your doctor.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Wish you good health!
