What Causes Nausea With Blood In The Mucous And Sore Throat?

I have a 6 year old son who has been complaining of nausea and has vomited a few times in the past week, but goes long spans in between vomiting...an entire week. He has had many blood tinged mucus kleenexes when he blows his nose. He is now complaining of a sore throat and is coughing a lot. What do you think is wrong with him? He feels a little warm, but no other signs of a fever.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
If the child is having upper respiratory infection with nasal discharge and cough, bleeding from nose could be an associated symptom.I because the mucosa is inflammed and can bleed easily during blowing and straining.
Avoid strained cough and hawking.
Nausea and vomiting could be due to
1.swallowed sputum causing discomfort
2.gastritis
I think it's better to start on antibiotics, mucolytics and Rantac.
I find this answer helpful
