What Causes Nausea, Stomach Cramps And Diarrhea?

Hi, I came home from work feeling nauseous and dry heaved for an hour. Stomach cramps followed and I have had violent and immediate diarreah since. This has been going on for around 12 hours now with the first 8 hours causing a massive loss of water. The last 4 hours I have lost control of my bowels completely and a yellow liquid mixed with mucus has been coming out. This has gradually got less and less. My anus is now extremely sore. I wonder if when I get up in the morning I should eat some dry toast to see if this settles my stomach? I have only taken fluids all day and now don t know if something solid will help my stools return to normal. Kind regards,

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having acute gastro-enteritis giving this problem.
Seeing your clinical symptoms there might be having sever dehydration can give rise a problem.
It is advisable to admit in the hospital for IV fluids and injectable antibiotics.
Meanwhile continue with plenty of water, electrolytes and ORS liquid.
Take liquid diet only.
Ok and take care.
