What Causes Nausea, Stomach Cramps And Diarrhea With High Blood Pressure?

My husband has nausea, stomach cramps and diahorrea, along with generally feeling "unwell". Symptoms have persisted for 5 days or more. He is 53 years old and usually in reasonable health, although he takes medication for high blood pressure and sometimes diclofenac for arthritic-type joint pain. He is a smoker (pipe) and fairly heavy drinker (cider, 4-6 pints per day). He is also a coarse fisherman (lakes and rivers) and works in a dog day-care centre. Any ideas?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the given symptoms could be suggestive of intestinal infection what the medicines he is taking can be continue but he needs to stop taking the Diclofenac because it may cause the gastritis and burning sensation, for the intestinal infection I would suggest to have Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day for seven days, Tab Dicyclomine with Acetaminophen for pain hope this information helps.
