What Causes Nausea Followed By Vomiting Up Of White Foam?
I am a 23 year old woman, I had a son and have gained 55 pounds since then. My periods are regular. For about a year now I have been feeling nauseous when i wake up. My nose is sensitive to smell and i throw up If i smell somthing upsetting. I throw up white foam and a pretty good amount of it. Why is this happening?
Foamy vomit may develop if you have excess gas in your stomach. Conditions that cause excess gas include acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). In both cases you need a treatment to lower the acidity in the stomach. Thus, I suggest using Omeprazole 20 mg daily in the morning before breakfast. I also suggest using Maalox three times a day. I recommend to avoid food that can trigger the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
