General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of possible kidney stones and infection, being treated with Bactrim, have nausea with slight fever, lower back pain, wants to know whether this is reaction to Bactrim.
Bactrim has sulfa as one constituent and the commonest side effect or reaction is development of black spots that itch. GI upset such as nausea are known side effect of many medicines.
It is also imperative that you should have undergone Ultrasonography to know whether there are stones or not, to know the position of kidneys and whole urinary tract.
Continue the medicines if there is no reaction as UTI needs a long treatment.
If the stones are present then these too need a proper management under the guidance of an Urologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
