What Causes Nausea And Light Headedness Post Wisdom Tooth Extraction?

Hi! I just had my wisdom teeth removed and I'm constantly feeling light headed? Kind of like when you've are only a little throughout the day and start to feel nauseous? It can't be the food problem though, I've been eating all I can but I can't get myself out of bed even because the headache is so severe

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain lightheadedness and nausea can be a side effect of the local anaesthesia that might be given to you during tooth extraction..
It can also be due to side effect of medications like antibiotics and painkillers given to you post extraction..

These are the most probable and most common cause for the symptoms that you are experiencing..
Nothing to worry as the symptoms are short lived and will resolve once the effect of anaesthesia will wean off while if it is due to medicine, it will get resolved once the medicine intake will be stopped..

In case if the symptoms worsen or you get some other side effects too, consult your treating physician and get evaluated and he can either change the medicine or reduce the dose to improve the symptoms..
As of now take appropriate meals, sufficient rest and drink plenty of water..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
