What Causes Nausea And Fluid/thickening In Sphenoid Sinus?

I have frequent nausea simlar to morning sickness and have recently been told I have fluid and thickening in the sphenoid sinus..can they be related? I do not have headaches. I am 65 yrs. old and have trouble moving about in the mornings until the nausea goes away.

Hello and thank you for your question.
It is possible that the two things are related. If you have a lot of sinus discharge then it could move down into your stomach during the night and cause nausea. Try using and antihistamine like diphenhydramine at bedtime and use nasal saline several times during the day and see if this helps.
