What Causes Nausea And Dizziness After An Increase In The Baclofen Dosage?

My doctor recently; after a weaning schedule, increased my dosage of Baclofen from 1 tablet 3 times per day to 1 1/2 tablets 4 times per day. I m not sure if nausea and dizziness I am experiencing are side effects of this dosage increase, and if these possible side effects can be expected to last. I had neither of these symptoms during the increase of 1 tablet 4 times per day.

Hi,

Baclofen is a muscle relaxant and an antispastic agent. Hence, it is used to treat muscle symptoms such as spasm, pain and stiffness. Commonly reported side effects with use of baclofen include: drowsiness. Other side effects which can be experienced include: dizziness, headache, nausea and weakness. Hence, the symptoms of nausea and dizziness what you are experiencing could be due to increase in dose of the medication. Generally, such symptoms should stabilise by few days. In case such symptoms persist or worsen, you need to seek medical attention promptly.

Hope the information provided would be helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further. All the best.
