What Causes Nausea And Appetite Loss?

For 8 days I have not been able to get out of bed. Mild nausea, no appetite, I can sit up for about 10-15 minutes but then have to go lay back down. Very little to eat. Sleep off and on. No energy. Until 8 days ago I would get up, do normal chores, eat peanut butter sandwich, yogurt, take nap, get up, watch TV, play computer games, eat dinner (meat loaf, mashed pot) - a normal productive life until 8 days ago. Now I don t even want to get up - don t want to eat - I m worried that something s really wrong and have no idea what it is. PLEASE HELP ME.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms you have mentioned like nausea, lack of appetite, tiredness, poor sleep, lack of energy etc. could be due to some nutritional deficiency, some febrile illness or depression.

Get your evaluation done. Get done vitamin B12, D levels to rule out the nutritional deficiency. Also, get routine blood workup done like CBC, liver and renal function tests.

Visit a doctor for help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
