What Causes Nausea After Defecation?

for several years I have experienced some discomfort and nausea when my stomach empties...This is primarily early in the morning 4-6:30 am. It disturbs my sleep. The symptoms are not as bad after I eat a breakfast of oatmeal, blueberries, sugar and butter. I have been taking Dexilant for several years and my stomach issues don t bother me as much during the day. However, just today, I ate around 8 am, symptoms disappeared, however, I didn t eat lunch and nausea and discomfort came back around 1:15 pm. I avoid fried foods, bacon, sausage, biscuts and rarely eat only small portions of beef

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to gastritis which is an inflammation of the mucous of the stomach.
I suggest you to use antacid medication to low the acidity level.
I also suggest to avoid fried and spicy foods which can trigger the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
I find this answer helpful
