My 5 year old son keeps snorting lately and had a small epistaxis last night, this prompted me to inspect his nasal passages and noticed he has what appear to be nasal polyps bilaterally? Purple round smooth masses protruding from the lateral walls. I am sure this is a purely coincidental finding and he has possibly had these for years but just wondering if there is any need to be referred to ENT for further assessment? I don t wish to waste a GP appointment needlessly, if they are indeed polyps I certainly wouldn t put him through surgery without good reason. If it makes any difference his Father has nasal polyps and recently had septoplasty to correct a deviated septum (without any history of trauma). Thank you for your time.
