What causes nasal discharge?

I was in the kitchen and looked down as i started to do the dishes and i thought i was about to get a bloody nose but it wasnt blood it was a clear liquid water like and salty. It soaked the top half of my shirt on the right side. I havent been having allergy problems but i have been getting alot of headaches. After the fluid came out i now have a headache. What is this all about?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

With a history of allergy symptoms the discharge seen is likely related to this.

Nasal discharge is common in allergies. It is one of the more common symptoms.

The use of a antihistamine decongestant combination would help with this symptoms and may also help with the headaches if they are due to sinus congestion.

I hope this helps
