What Causes Muscle Twitching All Over Body After Ulnar Nerve Surgery In Arm?

HI Dr. Rynne,I know you cannot dx but, I have had increasing all-over body muscle twitching for a year. Randomly: I started taking Buspar (busperione) 10mg per day a year ago. The muscle twitching started very mildly about a year before the Rx post a ulner nerve (rt. arm) surgery. NOW-- it is all day and really active at night. I often hit my partner with extreme kicks or arm twitching. When that happens, it wakes me up with cortisol blasts- like I was awoken when a car back fires and the window was open. It happens in all areas of my face most prevalent. I ride 8miles on a bike per week. (not per ride- total) and eat healthy. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Get evaluated by a neurologist. I think you may need to use anti seizure medications. Keep yourself hydrated and water and minerals in order to avoid any electrolytes imbalance which may cause twitching.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
