What Causes Muscle Tension With Pain In Neck And Face?

Hi. I ve been suffering with muscle tension for about 10 months in my back & shoulders, and around april time it began to aggravate my neck and head. Since this time i ve suffered on and off with lightheadedness, often accompanied with facial pain coming from my neck. Could someone please explain this to me? Is this normal? I find it very distressing. Thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Indeed symptoms you suggest are of Cervico Brachial Neuralgia.
Kindly go for an MRI of your cervical spine which might show a pathology in your Intervertebral discs.
For most cases, Analgesics and Neck physiotherapy will do the trick. However , do not neglect this or it might lead to surgery.
Meanwhile, you can use a Muscle relaxant like Thiocolchicoside 4mg + Aceclofencac 100mg once every night for a week until your appointment.
Good Luck !
