What Causes Muscle Spasms While On Atorvastatin?
Hello, I m presently taking atorvastatin 10 mg, however, I m have been having muscle spasms, such as my toes bending down, or my hand bending down, or along my sides having catches in them. Is this a side effect of taking this medication. I had acute bronchial problems and did not take it with the other medications the doctor prescribed for me to get over the bronchitis. I have been back taking this medication, but when I have skipped a dose, I do not seem to have the muscle problems. Can you give me any advise on what is actually causing the muscle pains? Your symptoms seem to be related to side effects of Atorvastatin. Muscle spasms are a common side effect of Atorvastatin. I suggest you to wait some day if the symptoms go away on its own. If the symptoms continue you should consult your doctor about an alternative medication.
