Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (
GnRH analogue) is a synthetic peptide that have been used to treat women with
endometriosis for many years.
When used continuously for periods of longer than 2 weeks, they stop the production of estrogen by a series of mechanisms. Most women will stop bleeding within 2 months of starting treatment.
The side effects of the GnRH analogues are largely the result of the low levels of estrogen in the body. Most common side effects experienced include: insomnia, decreased libido, headache, mood swings,
vaginal dryness, variation in breast size, acne, muscle pains, dizziness and
depression.
Muscular symptoms what you are experiencing could be due to side effects of the medication and you need to take symptomatic treatment for that. Gradually, it should stabilize and you should be relieved of such symptoms.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
