What Causes Muscle Cramps All Over The Body Along With Recurrent Muscle Tears?

My husband is a pretty healthy 48 year old who has worked construction his whole life This past year he has been suffering some very odd symptoms. The heat has become almost unbearable for him, resulting in sever muscle cramps, all over his body. This is more than run of the mill dehydration, and we have been to the ER several times because of it. He is also suddenly prone to muscle tears, which have never happened to him before, one in his leg, one in his bicep. He is VERY tired lately, more so than normal, and even when he isnt working hes exhausted after only being up a few hours. Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' services
I have read your question ,and here is my advice.

Such type of symptoms are not specific for any disease but must not ignore, there cab be so many reason commonly as follows,

1) Muscle disease (myopathies ,myositis, checked with CPK, EMG)
2) Endocrine diseases, like thyroid, cushing disease , etc checked with endocrine profile
3) Vasculitidis ( ESR, and special test if needed )
4) Other like chronic kidney ,or liver diseases can also cause the same , sometimes certain malignancy can cause it , so he would need proper and detailed work up, hopefully the pic is more clear after the blood tests comes back.

Hope I have answered your query.
