Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My grandson is in the hospital due to a severe muscle cramping in his leg. He was severely dehydrated and had very low blood sugar levels. Kidney tests were elevated. Every thing has returned to normal this morning except the high enzyme level in the muscle. What causes something like this to happen and will he have a permanent muscle problem,. I am confused with all this info. Not sure my daughter understands or is telling me all the details
If he has exercised a lot his makes may get damaged and release enzymes. This can cause kidney failure. He needs to be well hydrated. Apply hot water bag to the painful areas. Needs testing for Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 deficiencies.
