What Causes Muscle Ache In The Forearm And Excessive Sleepiness?

I ve been having multiple symptoms for some time (over 6 months now). Among them are muscle pain in my forearm flexors, sudden onset of sleepiness that requires me to lie down, weight gain (30 lbs in 3 years). Low libido. They may or may not be related to each other. Yesterday, I went to work feeling sleepy and went home after lunch. My forearms muscles hurt every day. I m on Testosterone replacement for low T and I ve tested negative for sleep apnea (tested last month).

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I understand your worries. Some studies shows that testosterone replacement therapy might lead to disturbance in sleep pattern (may lead to excessive sleepiness). Inform your physician regarding this. For muscle pain you can take T. Myospas BD (twice daily after food).

Hope your doubts are cleared.

Take care
