What Causes Multiple Lumps On Back Of Neck?

My 21 year old daughter is in Chile and noticed lumps on back of neck at base of head just to right and left of center. They are sensitive with pain and she has a headache and is naseous. I am not sure what to suggest, medical care is difficult.. What do you think? She does not think they are spider bites.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I can understand your concern.
Most probably she might be habing enlarged lymphnodes which is very common following an infection. I would like to know abt the size and number of lumps present.
Since it is painful you need not worry much it is inflammatory in nature and it would subside with medication.
I would suggest an anti inflammatory drug like aceclofenac 200mg twice daily for five days. Do get back to us after using the medication. Thanks for choosing HCM
