What Causes Mucus Discharge While Coughing?
age 44 went to doctor and said have pneumonia. Was given anti biotics and have been taking them. I am on my 7th day now and I have been coughing alot the past few days. Just today in the morning and tonight I have coughed up what looks to be worm like mucus. It can peel apart evenly like string cheese. It does now look like mucus nor does it feel like it as it is coughed out or by touch. Its not sticky but instead when you try to pull it apart its more like a rubber band. Whats up

This may not be pneumonitis but could be allergic condition and this is nothing to worry, at the most this can be treated with Tab Loratidine three times in day, have hot drinks, steam inhalation, hope this information helps.
