Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I m getting over the flu, type a. Starting on the fifth day and as fever had dropped to almost normal, I started getting bumps that look like mosquito bites with a water blister on top. These appeared first on my abdomen and back. There are now some on my arms and legs. They itch and break open resulting in small scabs. My fever was at 103.3 for 2 days. I developed a patch of fever blisters on my chin and bottom lip which I treated with acyclovir and Zovirax and they are totally gone but I m still getting a few new itchy bumps. I did have a bad case chicken pox as a baby (about 55 yrs. ago). I ve had the flu many times and usually 104.0 + fever and have never had these bumps or a rash afterward. Thanks for any ideas!
