What Causes Mild Vaginal Spotting Post Intake Of Morning After Pill?

Hi, I took the morning after pill for the second time in 8 weeks, 4 weeks ago. My period was due 2 days ago and I have very light brown discharge and a dull ache but no proper period. I have taken a pregnancy test today and it was negative. Is this just signs of period comming?

Understand your concern.

Morning after pill, containing 1.5 mg of synthetic progesterone, Levonorgestrel.

For this emergency contraception to be effective, it is necessary to take one 1.5 mg pill of Levonorgestrel on a single day and within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.
Note the following are the side effects of morning after pill.
Irregular menstruatiom: Delyed/scanty/spotting
Nausea or vomiting
Dizziness
Fatigue
Headache
Breast tenderness
Bleeding between periods or heavier menstrual bleeding
Lower abdominal pain or cramps

So I think it is side effect of pills.
Drink more water
Take rest
Take healthy diet
Avoid stress, alcohol and caffeine

If period will not come in after 10 days
Do following test
Urinary HCG kit /Blood HCG
USG
Hormone profile to exclude the other causes of delayed period like dysfunctional uterine bleeding, endometriosis, PCOS
