What Causes Mild Degenerative Changes In Femoral Head?
I had an accident about two years ago and I'm still having pain in my knee. Nothing has been found in my knee but is still really swollen and it hurts. I had an X-ray done of my hip and it showing mild degenerative changes in the femoral head in the form of small osteophytes. The shape of femoral heads may cause femoral acetabular impingement bilaterally.

Mild degenerative arthritis may be due to trauma or it may be related to age (increased age). It is due to irregularity created by injury to articular cartilage.Your age and mode of injury can be useful to know the cause .
