What Causes Mild Cold And Swollen Right Tonsil In A Child?

My 3 year olds has a slight cold. No fever, no sore throat, just allergy type symptoms. I looked at her throat and her uvula is deviated to the right and the right tonsil is enlarged and touching the uvula. She s fine however. Should I take her to Doctor?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If she is otherwise fine then you can monitor for now.

Colds are due to viral infections , in some cases, a bacterial infection can occur along with the virus.

She does not need to be seen unless she starts feeling unwell and cannot be managed at home.
Most cough/colds can be managed by over the counter cough/cold medication

I hope this helps
