What Causes Mid Cycle Spotting While On Birth Control Pills?

i am on birth control and i have been for almost a year. my period due in a week and I m bleeding a little right now. what could cause this? i did miss two days of birth control last week but took it the net day like my doctor told me to do. this has never happened before after i missed a pill.

I really appreciate your concern, if you are taking some hormone then such irregular menses is very common and this would be fine once the hormone level comes to normal one and for that you have to finish course of hormone medicine, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
