What Causes Memory Loss And Lack Of Focus After Taking 'loestrin'?

A few weeks back I missed a weeks worth of loestrin & so I took 3 1day & 3 the next to catch up. Had my period then after it subsided a week later I started bleeding again for two weeks & it just ended today. I've been experiencing memory loss, lack of focus, & haven't felt like myself! Could this b due to a hormone imbalance?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Such sudden bolus intake of medicine will have side effects & also cause hormonal imbalance. Lack of focus / coordination, sweating, weakness, vision problems, etc are the side effects you are experiencing. Take rest, stay well hydrated. Take nutritious food & fruits to feel better. You should take CP always as prescribed & at the same time everyday. If you get restless, visit ER.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
