What Causes Lung Infection And Fatigue?

what are some of the symptions of prescription drug addiction. My step-daughter is always sick with something, and now has immune deficiency. can opioids cause this? She is always tired , doesn t seem to care how her house looks (it s always very dirty), etc. I know she has a history of prescription drug abuse but swears to me that she no longer is, yet she is now in the hospital because of an infectious disease in her lungs and her oxygen is too low.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
welcome to Health care magic. I understand your concern.
Lung infection causes inflammation/ consolidation of the lung tissue .this leads to less oxygen absorption & so blood does not contain sufficient oxygen & less energy production for running routine body activities .... That is why there is fatigue in lung infections.
Thanks
