What Causes Lung Damage After Chemotherapy?

I have been a chemo patient for over fifteen years ,I did it for nine years straight every day ,as a gguinea pig ,my last wonder drug doctor said it cured my cancer but it destroyed my lungs ,I need a lung transplant ,my question is,is this why my nose smells sour all the time

I can understand your concern.
No, sour smell all the time is not due to collapsed lung.
Actually, this kind of smell problems are seen with chemotherapeutic drugs.
These drugs kill rapidly dividing cancer cells.
There are certain cells in the body (besides cancer cells) which are also rapidly dividing.
Nasal mucosa is one of the example of such cells.
So chemotherapeutic drugs will also damage nasal mucosa and so smell receptors on nasal mucosa will also damage and won't function normally.
It has nothing to do with lung collapse.
