What Causes Lumpy Feeling In Throat And Choking Sensation?

5 days ago, was laying up in bed watching a movie, when I had a sharp pain in left side of neck. I stood up due to me panic ing cause I couldn t breath, and I ended up passing out. I woke up shortly after, confused as to what time it was, or where I was. I m a combat vet, and am wondering what is going on with me, and if it is service related. Here lately since I passed out, I have been having almost constant neck/throat problems. Neck feels awkward, and often times I worry about if I m going to pass out again. Throat is lumpy, and I often get a tired tongue feeling, accompanied by a need to swallow frequently, and the feeling of I m going to choke. I have had previous thyroid problems ( the one where you can t gain weight, and remain thin), but the Dr. said it returned to normal levels a few years ago. I m wondering if it isn t acting up again?
