What Causes Lump With Bruising Around Hamstring?

I am an 18 y/o powerlifter who routinely lifts very heavy. Recently I found a huge lump with bruising around it on my hamstring, I don t remember hitting it or anything, could this be from the heavy squats I did two days ago? and am I okay to continue lifting heavy with legs before this bruise heals?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got huge lump (hematoma) with bruising around it on your hamstrings . This may be related to heavy squats you did two days back. Its treatment is rest and analgesics such as ibuprofen. Icing is helpful .Hematoma gradually resolved by itself .Thrombophob gel local application three times a day over it(no rubbing) can help in resolving it.You should not do heavy weight lifting till healing is complete. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
