What Causes Lump Under The Rib Cage?

I have a lump the size of a marble just below my rib cage on the left hand side of abdomen, I went for an ultrasound scan & have just been informed by my doctor I have a neuro sibroma or is it a neuro fibroma? I have been told I need surgery to cut it out, please can you help clarify & give a clearer diagnosis?

HI,Welcome with your query to HCM.
Based on the facts of your query, the possibility of it being neurofibroma could not be guessed on USG,but would need FNAC Biopsy with Histopath study of it,as you have not submitted any painful lump fact in your query.
So I would suggest to have Second Opinion from Surgeon and FNAC Biopsy.
Besides this,it being a Benign Tumor,You need for it being Cancer.
In My opinion it could be Fibroma/Lipoma/or died out Sebaceous Cyst on hairy chest.
Hope this reply would help you to plan treatment of your lump.
Will appreciate writing your feedback review comments,to help the needy patients like you at HCM.

Good Day!!
