I developed a lumps under my armpits during my pregnancy. They got bigger as I got closer to delivery. I was told that in most cases, it goes away during the breastfeeding period. However, I stopped breastfeeding almost a year ago and the lump is still big and still there and painful at times. What can I do?

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion there will be enlarged lymph nodes in the axilla due to breast engorgement seen in pregnancy and during lactation. But they will subside spontaneously. As they are still persisting and painful you might need an physical examination to rule out any infection or any other abnormality. So consult doctor as the antibiotics might be needed.
