What Causes Lump On The Vaginal Opening With History Of Hysterectomy?
I have found a large lump just inside my Virginia, it feels so uncomfortable because it just seemed to appear this morning, it is Wright at the opening and I can feel it. I had a hysterectomy approx year 2000 so it can t be a prolapse I don t think and am a bit worried about it.
Hello and welcome to HCM, A lump in the vagina can be due to a growth in the vagina. Prolapse will lead to vaginal wall coming outside the vaginal introitus. Since, you had a hysterectomy, it is unlikely for a uterine or cervical lesion to be felt in the vagina. A clinical assessment of the lump is required to know its probable origin and its extent. In case the lump is arising from the vaginal wall, a biopsy of the lump will be required. Depending on the result of biopsy report, further management will be planned.
