What Causes Lump On The Roof Of The Mouth?

Ive had a hard grape sized lump on the roof of my mouth for years. It is located directly on the center and has not changed in size from what ive noticed. It is not painful although every once in a while one side of it will feel sore. I suffer from migraines and have been suffering from them much more lately. What can this hard lump be and can it be related to my migraines?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a persisting hard lump on the roof of the mouth seems to be a PALATINE TOROUS which is an overgrowth of the bone and it is a harmless lump..
It is not related to migranes nor it causes any problem until it is very big in size and only the mucosa over it can get irritated and inflamed due to injury by some hard food and it can be disturbance in case if you have to go for a denture..
You can consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and in case if the final diagnosis comes to be PALATINE TOROUS surgical removal can be easily done under local anaesthesia..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
