What Causes Lump On The Right Hip Flexor?

I am a 32 year old female (5 6 , 110 lbs). Three days ago I completed a duathlon. I was slightly sore the day after but nothing too painful. Today I woke up and had a lump on my right hip flexor. It hurts to the touch and it feels slightly uncomfortable to walk. Do you think I strained my hip flexor? If so, what is the best treatment. If not, what are the other possibilities and should I see a doctor?

Thanks for the query to HCM. I studied your problem in depth and I understood your concerns.
Cause and plan of Treatment-
In my opinion on the given data,you seem to have partial muscle tear,which over a night formed a lump due to the hematoma at the torn site in flexors.
Treatment is by-Cold compresses/Voltaren Gel/Thrombophobe oint for 7-10 days time.IF it is reduced good, if not go to ER Sport-doctor.
So I would advise you to consult a ER Sport doctor.
Hope this would resolve your issues.Act fast.
So keep cool and Consult your ER Sport doctor, if need be , who would treat it accordingly.
So don't build up wrong concepts and create more psychic complications in you which would increase risks and costs to you, but just ask a query to HCM and be comfortable to resolve your health issues.
