What Causes Lump On The Forehead Along With Pain Around The Eyes?

I fell about three weeks ago and hit my forehead on the cement pavement. All the swelling and bruising have gone but there is still a small bump on my forehead. It doesn t hurt but is still there. I have very small headaches sometimes around my eyes. Should I get this checked out? I went to the hospital the day it happened but they just checked me out and said I was very lucky. No vomiting either. It just seems the bump is taking a long time to go away. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. You seem to have had some amount of bleeding under the skin which has caused the lump. Since, you have been checked and have no internal injuries, I would not be worried. The collected blood will get absorbed slowly and the pain around the eyes, if it is due to the pressure caused by the collected blood, should go away too! Hope this helps.

Dr Geeta
