What Causes Lump On Itchy Labia Minora?

I'm mid-40s in monogamous marriage, so no risky sex. I have a hard immovable dark brown-black-ish pea sized (bit smaller) lump on labia minora, left of clitoris. Have also had excess discharge (normal colour), slight bloody discharge off and on, and mild itchiness. No pain, suddenly appeared in the last week. Seeing my MD in a week or so. A bit worried about melanoma, but hoping it's something easier to deal with, like angioma. Thank you for your time and energy.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. The lump you mentioned in that area is most likely a bartholin cyst which is benign. But it is better to get examined by a gynecologist to rule out that.Bartholin cyst can be there with out infection also. But it can get infected. If it is present for long time then you can get rid off it by simple excision procedure under local anesthesia.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
