Hi,Dear, thanks for the query to Health Care Magic.
Dear, your question has multiple facets which would be replied to satisfy your query.
After meticulously studying your facts and your concerns
there are following point of worry in your lump on back of head -
it presence of 1 yrs or more,
and its hard consistency and fixed nature,
and its recent growth and becoming larger recently,
and its neighboring mole,
and its non-painful nature.
I would advise you to consult a Surgeon and would ask to rule out the possibilities as follows-
desmoplastic fibroma(which is locally aggressive ) but mostly benign tumour.
Could be a reactivated chronic boil, due to the trauma with early mild edematous induration stage with fibrous walling around,
Any other tissue as fat/
collagen tissue could cause such a tumour .
I would hence advise its FNAC and
MRI for any bony erosion to be ruled out and to rule out any malignancy or cancerous nature of this lump.
I would advise to consult ER surgeon who is the right specialist who would work up and would plan treatment for you.
Don't worry and go ahead as suggested to resolve the lump issueof yours s
Hope this would give you confidence to plan treatment with your doctor on your next visit ,which you should plan definitely.
Feel free to ask any further query in this regard to HCM and to ME.
Write excellent review if you feel satisfied with this reply, which would help my rating for the benefit of the other patients.
Wishing early and fast recovery for your lump.
