My 16 year old son noticed a lump in his breast...under his nipple, this past June. When I told his dr. that he was smoking pot...our Dr said that that is a side effect in men. The lump is still there and he continues to smoke pot> He will be going to a military boarding school next week. Should I have a biopsy done now or wait to see if it goes away...as I hope he can stop pot under the strict enviroment thats soon ahead for him? If so...will it go away and how long does it take to go away? Thanks....Mary L
His breast lump appear to unrelated to pot use to me. But it is better to stop its use considering medical and psychological ill effects of pot.
As he is going to boarding school, then it is better to get him examined. For breast lump get examined by general surgeon. You can require investigations like mammography and breast biopsy to confirm the diagnosis.
