What Causes Lump Behind Ear And Extreme Dizziness?

I woke up yesterday with a painless lump behind my right ear. This cane a few days after dizziness and a cold. Now the day after. I took my normal.anxiety meds and experienced extreme dizziness and the lump is still there. Could these be related and would a dermatologist be able to determine about the lump?

Hi ! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

No ! Possibly these two are not related. The lump could be an inflamed lymph node secondary to the cold you had. I would also suggest you to see your dermatologist to physically examine it your scalp, infection of which could give rise to such lymphadenitis. Till that you can go for an anti inflammatory drug for a symptomatic relief.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
