What Causes Lump After Missing Vein While Taking Morphine Shot?
I shot up morphine and missed my vein. I not have a hard lump under my skin. It doesnt appear to be an abscess cuz there is no head or discoloration. What can you suggest ? I do hot compresses and im taking penicillin. Do you know what this lump could be?

A lump following iv injections may be due to inflammation of vein... condition called as thrombophlebitis...
It simlpy resolve over time but thickend vein may be palpeted for many time....
No need for treatment if its not disturbing you... or do cold compression insted of hot...
