Hi,
An infection should be carefully checked out first. INflammation of the ovaries (acute oophoritis), tube inflammation (salpingitis), sigmoid colon inflammation (acute sigmoiditis) and diverticulitis are probable causes. A clinical review, ultrasounds, blood tests for sexually acquired infections would be most appropriate in this case. Kind regards
