What Causes Lower Back Pain After Taking Rifampin?
My husband is taking the drug Rifampin and he was told not to eat cheese or drink milk. If he does is that going to hurt him while taking this medication? Plus he is having pain in his lower back ever since he started taking the medication and they told him his liver levels where high to begin with is that something to be worried about? How do you know if someone has liver cancer?

I really appreciate your concern, if the rifampicin is going on then it need to be taken empty stomach after two hours of taking medicine patient can eat anything, shoulder pain is not due to the medicines, if the liver enzymes changes due to Rifampicin but it is reversible condition, to confirm the malignancy of liver biopsy and Imaging study is must hope this information helps.
